Comprehensive College Research And Application Package
FULL FOR CLASS OF 2025 and 2026
(Junior Year after Nov 1)
- Discuss goals, objectives and homework
- Onboard with separate student and parent questionnaires
- Comprehensive academic and extracurricular review
- Review scheduling SAT/ACT exams, if needed
- Preliminary discussion of school interests (if appropriate)
- Use college match surveys to help focus on interest in schools and list preparation
- Assist students in college research and organize with a shared google spreadsheet
- Assist and prepare for campus tours
- Review/discussion of finances – refer to financial aid consultant if needed
(Summer/Senior Year until Nov 1)
- Discuss goals, objectives, homework, deadlines and timelines
- Review Common Application and helpful tips
- Complete Common Application Essay (personal statement) to showcase your authentic self – from start to finish!
- Supplemental Essay Writing
- Application Organization (putting together all the necessary pieces)
- Provide Tracking Tools
Sessions are typically about 1 hour and can be done on zoom (and in person in good weather on my back porch (if local). For junior year college research, often we meet monthly but really guided by the student’s pace and meeting goals. For summer/senior year college application process, meetings are more frequently, typically every 7-10 days; again based on the student’s pace/schedule, ability to do all homework assignments and reach the necessary goals and deadlines.
